It's not bad as a pre-treatment for ribs. |

And it's good in home-made vinaigrette. And cole slaw.

It's an f'n miracle. Let's all ingest apple cider vinegar and we'll all
be thin as pencils come spring.

It's great in German potato salad, too, which isn't remotely low carb.
Like like it sprinkled on steamed veggies, sorta like a vinaigrette
without the oil.
As to apple cider vinegar being a cure-all, it's entertaining nonsense
but at least it's inexpensive nonsense if you take the vinegar itself
not some concentrated capsules of the non-vinegar stuff.
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is great advice for folks
who would otherwise be eating pasta or rice or french fries, but
"A serving of brocolli a day keeps the doctor away" beats the
apple. And just how much vinegar would it take to be the
equivalent of an entire apple? Probably close to a cup of the stuff.
Far in excess of what I've seen anyone use.
Ascetic acid can be used in aerobic respiration as an alternate
entry point to glucose. Even though the process would be slow, I
wonder if it makes sense for a conservative counting method to
count ascetic acid calories as carb calories. I've never taken
enough vinegar in any one day for it to make a change in my count
more than 2-3 grams so I figure it falls into a category of fun to
ponder academic issues that aren't of enough practical matter to
act upon. |

Vinegar drinking has long been one of the marks of "health nuts". I
remember being badgered about it in the late 1960's. Please don't think
that this is new.
If it tastes bad, it is good for you. |

Vinegar, or any acidity, slows digestion and blunts the impact of carbs
by spreading the effect over a longer period of time. Any benefit from
vinegar is probably the result of lessening the spikes of high-glycemic
carbs. |

I wasn't kidding about the ribs. You soak em in the stuff for a couple
hours.
Then you dry rub them and let em sit for a couple more hours in the
fridge.
Fire up the grill, sit em in the rib rack, and that will cure what
ails ya.
As long as what ails ya is a hunger for some quality dry rub ribs.
As to health solution, not really. I couldn't see drinking it. I'd
rather drink
balsamic. More expensive, but very tasty. |

A typo is not low carb JC. Why not get yourself away from cooking those
super sized fries for awhile, and get some exercise? If you lost some
weight, perhaps you could work on that transparent low self esteem problem
of yours? LOL

Do your nasty insults qualify as "information" in your lonely world?
When have you ever posted encouragement or fact or anything worthwhile? All
I ever see are insults from you. Do you disagree JC? I hear therapy may
work well for folks like you. So does marriage and children, business
success and education. I have all four, how about you? I'm betting you're 0
for 4 in the socialization department. Does Burger King give you health
benefits for therapy? Put down that Whopper long enough to take a look in
the mirror. Being an insulting troll is not low carb... a hardy LOL in your
direction.
*Unless you can be more clever in your insults, I may only go one more
round JC then you go back in the killfile. Just think, you started all this
by calling me an idiot for making a typo! Do you thrive on these anonymous
battles? You have so many.

The information I post is a nasty insult to you only because you don't agree
with it, and it disrupts your ability to lie to yourself and everyone else
about how a diet "should be".
> When have you ever posted encouragement or fact or anything worthwhile?
Exponentially more than you have, Mr. Drink Apple Cider and anything and
everything else that's not even close to being logical for a low carb diet.
> All I ever see are insults from you. Do you disagree JC?
Yes.
>Just think, you started all this by calling me an idiot for making a typo!
No, I called you an idiot because you're an idiot and you constantly post
misinformation.
> Do you thrive on these anonymous battles? You have so many.
I hardly post in this newsgroup. Perhaps your inability you grasp the
simple act of counting is why you cannot understand what a caloric deficit
is. |

JK is right. I've been in this group for years. You contribute
nothing positive, hurl insults and snide remarks for no reason, even
to decent people with serious medical problems. You take every
opportunity to start childish arguments, like you did with the typo
that you used to start this one. No one here respects you. No one
here chimes in to support you, but many frequently do take you to task
for your obnoxious behavior. Any decent parent that had a child doing
what you do would take internet access away from them. Like JK,
I've never known anyone that took so much time to engage in this type
of behavior that didn't have some kind of deep rooted psychological
problems.
BTW, don't bother trying to lure me into your pathetic world with
another post, I won't respond.
