Attention all sanitarians, food safety specialists, dieticians,
nutritionists, anyone in the healthcare arena and their friends and
family! After numerous requests and a successful 2006 Health Care China
Tour, another tour is planned for April, 2007. In addition to visiting
the spectacular sights that only China has to offer, like the Great
Wall, Terra Cotta soldiers
and the Bund in Shanghai, tour participants attend presentations at
various Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospitals, pharmacies, and
other healthcare facilites. Guest speakers share their expertise and
insight into current nutritional concerns, TCM, acupuncture, Chinese
dietary habits, and reflexiology to name a few. Tour members will tour
a night market, supermarket and a food manufacturer to observe food
handling practices, experience the many exotic cuisines of China,
including vegetarian, Muslim,and other "gourmet delights such as
scorpions and
centipedes. Let's not forget a visit with a panda, train ride, foot
massage and shopping till you drop for jade, pearl and silk. Request
